Some things to remember about half-staffs…

Whenever the U.S. flag is moved to half-staff, all other flags should also be placed at half-staff. The U.S. Flag Code—4 U.S.C. §7(c)–specifies that no flag should fly higher than the U.S. flag.

When state flags are lowered, however, only the state flag will be lowered to half-staff. Other flags – even those in the same display – will not be affected.
